Paul Douglas Van Der Walde, Founding Partner

Attorney Paul Van Der Walde has lived in the Santa Clara County for more than 25 years, starting in 1990 when he relocated to study law at Santa Clara University. Although Paul began his legal career as a defense attorney working at a local insurance defense firm after receiving his Doctorate in Jurisprudence in 1993, he realized early on that he was meant to protect the rights of seriously injured plaintiffs, and not defendants. Next, Paul joined a civil litigation law firm in the Bay Area where he specialized in California personal injury law. Then in 1995, Paul joined Cornell & Van Der Walde Law as a partner, and finally in 1997 he founded Van Der Walde & Associates.

Over the years, Paul has represented clients who have been the victims of various types of personal injuries, including spinal cord injuries. He has become a well known figure among the court houses in Santa Clara County, and has good working relationships with local judges, attorneys and legal professionals.
